Match Reports

Vale of Lune RUFC

OLLY SHAKES THREE FIVES.

The windscreen on Vale's coach misted up on the outward journey but their intentions were crystal clear out on the paddock.

CHERRY AND WHITE BLOSSOM.

Both sides played their part in an entertaining encounter.

DOUBLE UP.

Planes were roaring off from Manchester Airport, a lone buzzard circled the ground searching for thermals, a fox was spotted patrolling the cricket ground but in an afternoon of contrasts the players had other issues on their minds.

Stockport RUFC

Stockport came away with a well deserved losing bonus point from this hard fought game

After a positive start Stockport spent much of the game defending as the Waterloo forwards played a driving game that kept the Stockport defence under pressure for long periods.

Stockport just managed a 1 point victory over visitors Altrincham Kersal in a hard fought game at Headlands Road.

The final score of 16-15 was a true reflection of how close the game was but it also could have been a different story if the AK kicker had been as successful as Stockport’s Liam McGovern.

Christmas break and new recruits get Stockport back to winning ways

With new recruits, Liam McGovern at 10, Rhodri Mayer at 15 and the return after several years of Nic Smith at 8, Stockport ran out 26-13 winners away at Carlisle.
