Sale Sharks have announced that Ciaran Booth has been offered a five-year contract following an impressive season with their U18s.

Ciaran joins Sales Sharks as a highly rated flanker, having of course played for Manchester, following the likes of Sam James, Ciaran Parker and only this week Luke James ,as players who have also progressed through our M&J section.

Sale Sharks website reports:

Cameron Redpath, Kieran Wilkinson, Connor Doherty, Sam Dugdale, Ciaran Booth and Bevan Rodd have all been awarded a long-term deal at the Sharks, as well as a bursary to help them with their rugby development over the next twelve months before joining the North West side on a full-time basis. In addition, Tom Walsh has been given a bursary to help him develop his positional change from the wing to scrum-half.

Speaking about the club's decision to offer this out, Academy Manager Brendan Thomas said: "All the lads have impressed over the last twelve months, and we wanted to make sure they remained at the Sharks, as we look to build on the North-West core of the squad."
