Back by popular demand, tickets are now available for our next Comedy Evening at the club!

Cheadle Hulme will be filled with the sound of laughter on Friday 13th April when we return to for yet another of Manchester Rugby Club‘s fine, fine comedy evenings!

Troy Hawke, the latest character from comedian Milo McCabe is as believable as he is blisteringly funny. This is no mean feat however as convincing character comedy is very difficult to get right, not only does the performer need to make the character perfectly believable but the comedy has to be spot on too. This idiot savante dresses like a matinee idol, speaks in perfect received pronunciation and is completely at odds with the world around him. Whether recounting an afternoon at the football with ‘the chaps’ or engaging in ‘audience badinage’ with the front row you can be sure the laughs come thick and fast. 2018 saw him go viral and come to national attention when he foiled a street robbery whilst remaining completely in character!
‘Undeniably funny’ ★★★★ Chortle ‘Mad comic genius’ The Scotsman

Dan Nightingale
worked his way through university as the sound man at a comedy club but being actually on the stage looked like so much more fun.. Fortunately, Dan turned out to be a natural performer and a brilliant compere. Dan mixes cutting observation and raucous gags with high energy audience work and a natural playfulness that engages any crowd. Original, creative and totally unpredictable

Brum’s Andy Robinson became a stand up quite accidentally as guitarist in ‘The Carpetsweepers‘ when his banter between songs reduced both the audience and his fellow musicians to hysterics. Tour support includes Sean Lock, Rich Hall and regularly for Jo Brand who Andy has now worked with for many years.
