THIS SATURDAY our senior men's 1st & 2nd XVs take on two of our local rivals/neighbours/friends/etc in a couple of derby games that promise to be a couple of crackers!

Our Men's 1st XV make the short trip across Bramhall to play Stockport RFC at Headlands. With a 2.15pm kick off, the match sees the leagues first placed team host a Manchester team who sit in third; and are on a four game winning run, having won 8 out of their 10 games since the reverse fixture back in September. Fight well lads and bring home the W!

Meanwhile, at Grove Park, our Men's 2nd XV host Didsbury Toc H RFC in what should be a closely fought game between 2 teams that like to run the ball and score tries. Results have been mixed for our 2nd XV this season, with some high scoring wins and some tight loses. if you are not going to Stockport RFC then get down to Grove Park for the 2.15pm kick off and support our 2nd XV secure the win in their first home game of 2022.

On SUNDAY our Women's 1st XV make the (relatively) short trip to Crewe & Nantwich RFC in the revere fixture of last month's 17-14 home win. The season has seen steady progress in terms of individual performances with many players taking their first steps in to competitive senior women's rugby or in rugby altogether. Our team will continue to get stronger as they develop as a unit.

Also on Sunday our Senior Colts welcome Rochdale RUFC in the Lancashire Colts: Joe McDonough U18 Trophy. The team includes many players who will look to merge in to the senior squads in the coming seasons or will push on for higher honours, so why not get down to Grove Park and watch the next generation of 1st XV players?
