Peter Batten

Peter played for Berkshire, the Army and was for a number of years a First XV player for us, being Captain in 1958. Following retirement from the game, he joined the Referees Society.

Off the field, Peter gave generously of his time, serving on various committees, always providing his services when help was needed. He was also much involved with the merger of Manchester with Cheadle Hulme and the eventual move to Grove Park.

Funeral will will be at Altrincham Crematorium at 11.30am on Monday 3rd September.
