The fixture says Broughton Park but we actually had a tri fixture with Warrington and played both teams from Warrington.
It was a bitterly cold and wet day and we played in a mud bath. The conditions didn't suit the Manchester team who were low on numbers. Free flowing rugby was not the order of the day but Manchester still tried to play to their strengths and move the ball around. Both Warrington teams played very well and overpowered our boys by keeping it simple and running hard. After 3/4s of hard graft the boys played very well in the final 10 and scored a couple of tries to go home with smiles on their very muddy faces!
Stand out performances were Max Ferguson, James Hargreaves and Billy Coupe plus a special mention for Jacob Milner who scored his first try for Manchester.
