First day back

Great to see so many faces back at MRC - and plenty of new faces too! We eased all the players into the new season with a nice mix of drills before giving them their first taste of a rugby game at the end. Plenty of refreshment breaks throughout the morning to make sure everyone kept hydrated. It was also the first time the team had played on the main stadium pitch, which felt really special and gave all the parents plenty of spectating room (out of the mud!).

We managed to time the training session just right, avoiding all the rain and actually enjoying some sun for the first hour - it later pelted it down while we were having a drink and hotdog post-game, but fortunately the new marquees as the club kept everyone dry.

Great to have Matt and Frank join the coaching this week - a massive help given we had almost 30 players!
