The team worked really hard and deserved their success. The teamwork was fabulous. Throughout the games there was plenty of passing, rucking and mauling. Everyone got stuck in and were running at the opposition the moment they kicked off. There was consistent pressure on the other teams with Manchester forcing them into their own halves. Manchester tackled hard and supported each other. The passing out of the tackle and the support play created opportunities for the team to score tries throughout the games. What great teamwork!

Well done boys – we are all very proud of you!

The other teams worked hard and were formidable adversaries. The Scottish Watsonians were very gracious and wished our boys well for the Final. Kirkby Lonsdale were stiff opposition in the Final.

The setting was gorgeous with lovely views of the fells. We enjoyed dry and warm weather though the breeze managed to turn our Gazebo into a kite!

Kirkby Lonsdale RUFC were great hosts with plenty of food and drink on offer. Many of us enjoyed a crepe! – Death by Chocolate being a favourite!

The social side of our first tour was also a great success. We stayed alongside the Under 7’s and 8’s. All the boys swam, ran about and played to their hearts content at Ocean Drive Holiday Park. The parents were not quite as active but many arm raising exercises were practiced. Many of us enjoyed the Bingo and the Cabaret!

It was great to see all the boys supporting the other age groups and being proud of being part of Manchester Football Club.

Thanks so much to all the coaches for all their hard work with the boys – watching the boys’ rugby develop under their passionate guidance is wonderful.
