Game 1: AK 4v2 MRC
Game 2: MRC 2v3 Macclesfield
Game 3: Stockport 6v0 MRC
Though Manchester didn't make it out of the group stages, they must take great heart from their group matches against both AK and Macclesfield, two teams that have inflicted whitewashes in the past. There was plenty of passion and talent on show and is promising for the future of this young side.
A special mention has to be made for Joshua who was competing in his first festival and who got stuck in from the very first whistle.
There was some inevitability about the finalists with Stockport facing a strong Wilmslow A. At half time it was 1v0 to the home side, and in the second period of the second half it was the home side who were able to again pick up their play, finishing worthy winners with a 3v0 scoreline.
A great festival hosted by our good friends at Wilmslow. Also great to catch up with our pals at Aldwinians, Alty Kersal, Bowden, Macc and Trafford MV whilst making new acquaintances with York RFC, who we will be seeing in November on our tour.
Today's totally, touring Tigers were (Tries in Brackets), Bill, Charles, Eddie (1), Ethan (1), Hanuf, Harrison, James (1), Joshua, Joseph, Myles, Nathan, Olly and Tom Mac (1). Well done to all as you fought for every ball.
Rochdale festival is upon us once more next week, so please advise John of your availability. Make sure you all wrap up warm whatever the weather is like here, as sleet and rain was the order of the day in Rochdale last year and was a veritable nightmare!!
Crouch, touch, set!!
