A Trip to Trafford

The lads warmed up with some touch rugby and were soon ready for action.

Manchester soon dominated the game. There was some great teamwork with the ball being passed out well to achieve team tries. Rucking was also much better with the lads putting into practise what they learnt in training.

Despite valiant efforts from the Metrovicks, Manchester worked well.
One coach was heard to say, “can’t grumble at 6-0 at half time”.

However, the team went back on and kept up the good work. Metrovicks also came back better and scored.

The second game was against Glossop.

Glossop came on strong and scored quickly. Manchester boys came back and scored 3 tries in quick succession. They kept the pressure up throughout the game and scored another 3. There were some good breaks and runs.

Glossop also kept their heads up and made the most of the opportunities that came their way, scoring another 2 tries.
