Return of Manchester’s mojo!

Manchester Under 10’s squad turned out for their first game in 2011 after a long enforced break with bad weather and Christmas. Sale ground was in great condition and the cups of hot tea were welcomed by the parents who were afforded some shelter from the elements in the stands. The boys not on the pitch also enjoyed spectating from the stands.

The boys were raring to go.

As there was a good squad size there was plenty of opportunity to allow the lads to play in different positions.

The first game got off to a great start with Manchester getting plenty of ball and passing it out well. There were some great breaks and runs.

The second match had a different team out. Sale came back hard but plenty of good tackles from Manchester slowed them down. Again great teamwork meant the ball got passed out to enable tries to be scored.

Final score – Sale 0 – Manchester 5

Sale came in strong for the third match and scored 2 tries before Manchester came back with a try. Again, Manchester had some great runs. Sale kept fighting hard and came out victorious.

Final score - Sale 3 - Manchester 2.

The rain stated to bucket down but the players were still happy to have another game.
Sale were getting tired by now with a smaller squad to call on and Manchester played well despite the weather.
