Manchester find their mojo, lose it and then find it again!!!

There was a 3-way fixture hosted by Lymm with Altrincham Kersal and Manchester all travelling.

It was a wet and windy warm-up, parents huddling round flasks. All the teams had brought 2 teams so there was plenty of game time for everyone.

Rick’s Roarers:
First game was against Lymm. Manchester were well up for it – you could feel the testosterone!! And hear the roars! Manchester raged ahead scoring 3 tries in quick succession in the first half. Although Lymm kept defending Manchester maintained the aggression and scored another try in the second half to make the result:

Lymm – 0 4 – Manchester

There was then a 15 min break and then Manchester played Altrincham Kersal.

Manchester were a tired team with all their adrenalin from the first game drained. They were unable to replicate the great teamwork from the first game and although there was some good defence, they could not get the ball out wide. Altrincham Kersal worked hard and kept the pressure on to win the game.

Manchester – 0 1 – Altrincham Kersal

After a “bit of a talking to”, Manchester were on again against another Lymm side. They picked themselves up well and scored early on. Lymm kept their focus and also managed to get a try in but consistent pressure and good tackling from Manchester meant they were able to build on their early lead and win this game

Lymm – 1 3 – Manchester

One more game against Altrincham Kersal to finish off 2 very tired teams!
Manchester stood their ground and scored early on. Altrincham Kersal could not seem to get the team going in the first half but managed a better performance in the second half to score an equaliser.

This is a second hand report here as the reporter did not see these games – it was all go!!!

Anyhow, reports suggest that Manchester worked hard against some speedy opposition and that teamwork was generally very good.
