A Mixture of U12/U13 Teams V Young Bedians and Wythensahwe RFC

A sunny but chilly autumnal Sunday. Mid-term school holidays reduced player numbers, so the coaches agreed to field mixed Manchester U12/U13 teams against Young Bedians and Wythenshawe RFC.

I watched the game against Young Bedians U13s where both teams were equal in strength and tactics. The teams were strong in the tackle and running forward with the ball and as the teams tested each others defence the U12 members did not embarrass themselves against bigger faster players. Eventually the mixed Manchester team who faced the Young Bedians ran out 4-3 winners and as the score line suggests a very close game. Anthony Dillon.

The all Manchester V Wythenshawe game saw the Reds run out 8-1 victors, teamwork effective tackling and strong running were the main strengths of a victorious U12/U13 Manchester team.. Paul.
