We dragged everyone out of bed today and some were much worse than others as far as I could tell, lord knows what they were all doing last night! Apparently Ruth was conspicuous by her absence.

What a sight 18 lads kitted out and drilling at 945 on what was a pleasant morning at that point. Maurice was well in control as I could hardly function. Luckily for us the boys were a little more together than I was.

We introduced our selves to the Bury coaches who we thought were with their first team, we than realised that it was their u12’s, many of whom were doing s better job of Movember than Maurice let alone me.
The boys started well taking the challenge and running the ball at the Bury giants, trying initially to take the ball through rather than round their lumbering pack. Soon the realisation of the fact that we have some great runners in the back, we started to shift the ball towards the wings. With some great pressure throughout the game and good movement of the ball we had tries from three different areas of the field. Max as ever took on the physical side of the game and went over to give us a score. Congrats to the forwards and their support play. Once we had made the right choice to spin the ball out wide, Sean put in a classic wingers try with what must have been a 40 m dash along the touch line to make it 2. Having stood on the touch line screaming at Tom W. to offload the ball I had to eat large portions of humble pie as he yet again scored a try for the team.

All three tries were successfully converted by Tom Jones.

A good result considering the coach sent the team out with 12 after half time!
