Would Sedgely Park upset Manchesters great start?

Five minutes break and the boys were out on the pitch this time to face Sedgely Park. Lucky for us Sean’s Dad did a bit of homework and identified the key player for Sedgely, we set out with our game plan, the bigger they are the harder they fall!

We were slow to start having had such a physical first game, but soon we were up for it and more than a match for their big runner, the likes of Matt B and others showing what can happen when you take their legs!
It was in the balance for a moment as it got to 7 points each, after that Manchester upped their game and even though we were playing against 14 for a good 5 minutes we ran away with the game.

The key to the victory again was the fact that we exploited our assets and had the ball MOVING through the backs after some punishing forward play.

Tries from Max, Ciaran, Tom W (2), and Greg were all converted by Tom J and Tom W giving us a sweet victory 35 – 7.

A couple of you were unlucky not to increase the scores today, James over for his first try but at such a speed he couldn’t ground the ball before crossing the dead ball line and Luke, one disallowed for hitting touch and goal, a very close decision.

Well done to all the boys you should all be very proud of what you did today, day one over, roll on day two of the Lancs. Cup in January.
