In a replay of last years final Manchester again kept their opponents scoreless with a 11 - 0 win.

Despite a nervous start and error-strewn play the Colts went in at the break ahead with two penalties by Gareth Bridgman. Some good intelligent kicking by Sam James using the wind to good effect by repeatedly giving a rusty miss-firing team valuable field position. Waterloo failed to put points on the board due to 3 missed penalties and a forward pass with the line beckoning during early dominance.
At half time their lead looked barely enough but by upping their game and retaining possession in the second half they began to demonstrate their true quality with Ant Walker scoring the only try after some good phases of play. However the coaches will hope for far better handling, decision making and retention of depth in order to avoid the several glaring missed opportunities to score in future matches.
