In early February the club got the huge news that we had been successful in a grant application as part of the RWC2025 Impact Programme. The grant is worth up to £100k for the building of new facilities to increase changing room capacity in advance of the Women’s Rugby World Cup being held in England in summer 2025. The changing rooms have been designed with the needs of the women and girls in mind but will be a massive benefit to all the players at the club. The grant, and money already raised, give us confidence we can start the project, but we need more funds to be able to fit out the building to a standard we would like and make essential refurbishment works to other areas of the club to give us the best facilities in the area.
The project will start imminently and be ready for the start of the new rugby season, so it's happening now!
