Former M&J at World Cup

After Saturday morning's EPIC semi-final between England and New Zealand, England scrum-half Willie Heinz has been ruled out of the World Cup Final.

There was only ONE person that Eddie Jones had to call........someone who took their first steps to stardom down at Grove Park..........who learnt the core skills needed for professional rugby......and where rugby's values of teamwork, respect, discipline, sportsmanship and enjoyment were instilled........

......BEN SPENCER!!!!

Ben has flown out to Japan to join up with the England squad. As one of only two scrum halves in the squad he will more than likely appear in the RUGBY WORLD CUP FINAL this Saturday!

We would like to take the time to say how proud everyone at Manchester Rugby Club is of you Ben. You continue to represent yourself and our club with great aplomb on the professional stage; and we are sure that you will provide further evidence that you belong among the elite.

Join us this Saturday morning to watch England vs South Africa in the final. Kick off is at 9AM. The bar will be open and both food and drink will be available.

Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your neighbour who you don't really talk to, bring your neighbour who you do talk to. Bring yourself and support England (and one of our own) to World Cup glory!!!
