Lancs Cup U12s – Tigers vs West Park

The Tigers kicked off their Lancs Cup campaign with a spirited away fixture against West Park in St Helens. With Wigan’s pitches out of action due to Storm Amy, the Panthers were unfortunately sidelined this round.
Despite strong winds, the match went ahead, and Manchester made a flying start. The opening 20 minutes showcased some fantastic rugby, with the Tigers setting the pace and showing real promise. However, after the break, West Park’s deep and well-organised attacking line began to cause problems, gradually overturning the lead.
The Tigers showed resilience and determination, defending valiantly and pushing hard to close the gap. Time, however, wasn’t on their side. The final whistle marked the end of a hard-fought contest, with plenty of positives to take forward.
Well done to all the boys for a great performance — you did yourselves proud!
