Who can play?
We encourage boys of all abilities to join us on a Sunday. It doesn't matter if your child has played before or is a complete beginner. The only rule to join the U12s squad is that your child must be in school year 7 for the 2025/26 academic year.

Where do we play?
We play every Sunday from 10:30am (arrive 15 mins earlier) either at home or somewhere local if we’re playing away. Fixtures are on the website and updated weekly via our U12s WhatsApp group. Our pitch may vary when at home, so check the pitch allocation, which you’ll find near the main entrance to the club. Where possible we’ll update you the week before.

What kit does your child need?
Football boots (or trainers), shorts and multiple thin layers (rather than one thick jumper). Most children wear a rugby or football top and really hard-wearing MRC shirts are available from the club shop (they make a great birthday or Christmas present). Your child should also bring a soft drink (water is fine) and snack. For the winter thin gloves (not wool/mittens), a warm hat and a base layer / skins are perfect for keeping warm. Remember, it’s easier to take layers off as they get warm - once cold, they’re miserable! For parents/grandparents wellies and a flask of something hot for the hangover!

How much does it cost?
We encourage all new starters to try for the first couple of sessions for free, but you will need to become a member after that. Membership allows your child to play for the full season, provides food for fixtures, gives free player access to the first XV home games and a provides generous discount on drinks in the family-friendly bar. Please speak to your coaches for membership costs.
